Mickerts’ Family Fun Day was a horse-running, entertainment, and fundraising event held in memory of Brooke Mickerts, a young girl who lost her life to Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in 2015.
Like the rest of the Armidale and Uralla communities, núcleo was honoured to be able to directly support a local family in need. We provided several digital, print, and promotional services to help advertise the event.
All donations from the Mickerts’ Family Fun Day were to support the Mickerts Family after the tragic loss of their daughter. It was important to us that the event was well-advertised, in order to inform the community and maximise interest.
Accordingly, we devised a cross-media campaign, with branded content being used on social media, in Armidale’s local newspaper, on event posters and across other collateral. Our designers created an array of images to be used in the campaign; the use of soft, feminine pastel colours was calm and welcoming for viewers. núcleo also assisted in the management and promotion of the Facebook page, which received over 500 likes within one week of the page’s launch. This network was ideal for boosting the engagement and heightening the visibility of the event.
The Fun Day was a great success, thanks to the combined efforts of the musicians who donated their time and talent, the individuals and businesses who made a donation for the auction or the cause, and the community who rallied together in support of people in need.
