Illawarra Credit Union has been serving the Illawarra region for over 44 years. Since beginning in 1972, Illawarra Credit Union have reinvested their profits into better products and services for their customers in the Illawarra region.
Illawarra Credit Union was in need of a new website that prioritised user-experience, strengthened brand awareness, and allowed their valued customers to easily access information.
As a financial institution, Illawarra Credit Union required a website that showcased their brand story, provided all pertinent information, and maintained an appealing and user-friendly design.
Accordingly, we used a minimalist design that was structured by a seamless grid-like layout and simplistic icons. We enhanced the navigation by reviewing and merging similar categories, introduced more engaging CTAs, and revised the overall content flow.
Use of graphics also played an important role. Illawarra Credit Union promote themselves as a brand committed to their customers. Throughout the website, we featured people of different ages, backgrounds, and family structures, as well as shots of local regions. These photographs aim to evoke an emotive response and emphasise the Credit Union’s people-focused temperament. They also help to improve the connection between the images and the products throughout the site.
