Race for 30
The Reliable Affordable Clean Energy for 2030 Cooperative Research Centre (RACE for 2030 CRC) focuses on driving innovation in Australia’s energy transition. Their website, racefor2030.com.au, serves as a central hub for information about their research projects, industry partners, news, and events.
What we did
Think
RACE for 2030 needed a website to effectively communicate their mission, research priorities, and the collaborative nature of their work. The site needed to be a key resource for industry partners, researchers, policymakers, and the broader public interested in Australia’s energy future.
Design
The website design adopts a clean, modern, and professional aesthetic, reflecting innovation and collaboration. Clear navigation to sections detailing their research programs, partners, projects, news, and events helps visitors find the information they need. The design aims to convey credibility, expertise, and the importance of their work in the energy sector.

Development
The website required a Custom WordPress theme to match the design. Custom post types were used for Projects, Publications, Team, Videos, Partner and Media to simplify content management for their team. The news and media section needed to be easily filterable and searchable. Ensuring the website is accessible and provides a user-friendly experience for a diverse audience is paramount for effective communication and stakeholder engagement.

Project outcomes
The new RACE for 2030 website successfully establishes a central online platform for Australia’s energy transition research efforts. It effectively communicates their mission, research programs, and the collaborative network of partners involved. The website serves as a vital resource for disseminating information, fostering engagement, and driving innovation towards a reliable, affordable, and clean energy future for Australia.
