Calrossy Anglican School is formed on the diamond school model, which offers a unique and personalised educational experience.

Their Primary School is co-educational, Years 7-10 have dedicated single-sex campuses, and Years 11-12 are co-ed. This blended learning experience allows students to learn and develop in a way that is not offered in many other schools in Australia.

Calrossy tailors its teaching and pastoral care to meet the gender-specific needs of its students at exactly the right time. nucleo wanted to promote what sets Calrossy Anglican School apart by showcasing their dynamic diamond school structure, their quality teaching facilities, and their academic excellence.

TV commercials and brand videos

Our goals were to create a variety of video productions to communicate Calrossy’s diamond school model and their upcoming open day. The pieces needed to capture the school’s brand, their approach to education, and the campuses and facilities available to students.

Footage was captured over two days in three locations: the William Cowper Campus, the Brisbane Street Girls Campus, and the Agricultural Grounds.

Our final deliverables were a 90-second brand promotional video, a 30-second video to advertise the Calrossy Open Day, and a 30-second general television commercial. TVCs are a great strategy to build brands, target specific audiences, and encourage enrolments.

With footage of happy smiling faces and the equipment, facilities and activities available to Prep through to Year 12 students, we were able to advertise Calrossy in line with their brand message: “one school, two campuses — countless opportunities”.

Professional viewer experiences

Our TVCs were pieced together with strong visuals of the learning experience at Calrossy Anglican School; they feature minimal face-to-face moments (students talking directly to the camera), and instead opt for authentic scenes of the students learning, playing and experiencing everything the school has to offer.

The additional brand video piece, meanwhile, captures students from a range of age brackets and demographics, as well as staff members, in interview-style footage as they describe what sets Calrossy Anglican School apart from competitors.

Photography also played an important role in our services for Calrossy. Throughout production, we captured a variety of stills to complement the videos and provide a dynamic viewer experience. To deliver that irresistible professional touch, all video footage was shot using state-of-the-art camera equipment, including RED Digital Cinema, Canon and DJI Drones. It was then expertly edited by our in-house team to enhance the footage for its TV debut.

Our objectives for the Calrossy video productions were to deliver an energetic and informative experience that would highlight the academic and personal opportunities at Calrossy Anglican School, and explain the benefits of their diamond school structure.

With vibrant footage and authentic testimonials, we were able to create engaging TVCs and brand videos that encourage enrolments and show exactly why students are choosing to go to Calrossy.

Once the footage was shot and the videos were edited, the nucleo team also completed and submitted all CAD documentation (a necessary pre-check service with Commercials Advice for the network distribution and broadcast of all TV commercials).
