Print and website design for a joint organisation of regional New South Wales councils.
Namoi Unlimited is a Joint Organisation of regional councils in NSW who aim to deliver ambitious projects and priorities for their local communities.
Namoi Unlimited (NU) required the development of an optimised website that would showcase information about the Joint Organisation and allow community members to learn about the important projects being planned and undertaken by their councils in Gunnedah, Gwydir Shire, Liverpool Plains, Narrabri, Tamworth, Uralla and Walcha.
nucleo also provided our design services for an updated prospectus booklet to assist NU representatives travelling to Ningbo, China in early 2018 to discuss potential investment opportunities for the region.
Our approach
Think
nucleo approaches every website project as unique and pays close consideration to our clients’ individual needs. We worked with Namoi Unlimited to produce a website that would optimise the user experience and allow visitors to quickly and easily access information.
The client requested a clean, easy-to-use website that would improve NU’s online visibility while supplying only the most important content.
Our solution was a mostly parallax website; a functional one-page design allowed us to control the flow of information for visitors, with simple links to direct people to a News page, a Projects page, and the AusTrade website.
Design
nucleo designed and implemented a new website for Namoi Unlimited using the unique branding of NU rather than the individual councils. The website allows conversions to be tracked through the implementation of an enquiry form and a ‘contact us’ button, so we can easily monitor the site’s effectiveness.
Additionally, NU staff have the ability to update the site’s content at any time through an easy-to-use WordPress CMS (content management system), which will save on unwanted costs moving forward.
Develop
Our web development team customised the content management for NU web content to be translated to Mandarin and other languages when required with one easy step. The website can also ascertain a desired language based on the user’s location and preferences.
The website looks great and functions seamlessly across desktops, tablets and mobiles. It successfully endorses the progress of NU on strategic regional priorities, and improves the lines of communication between community members and councils within the Namoi region.

During March 2018, several mayors and council representatives from the seven Namoi Unlimited shires travelled to China to help build investment opportunities and establish economic ties.
NU required an updated Namoi Unlimited Prospectus for this visit. Our nucleo designers worked with Namoi Unlimited to redesign and reformat this booklet with the updated NU branding.
The prospectus was updated to showcase recent and mutually-beneficial investment opportunities, and to highlight the strengths of each shire. nucleo created a web-ready version of the English prospectus, and made this available on the NU website.
We also worked closely with translators to develop a Mandarin version of the prospectus with the redesigned and formatted elements, which was suitable for print and presentation in Ningbo. The Namoi Unlimited chairman Andrew Hope reported that the China trip went incredibly well, and will potentially invite future foreign investments within the region.
